Here is an update on what has been happening recently and some of our upcoming plans. We will give you more detailed news on these shipments at a later date.
Our Sri Lankan container is due to arrive in Colombo at Christmas after delays at Rotterdam and our Zimbabwe container is due to arrive in late January 2021.
Volunteers are now packing for our Caribbean container with books destined for a number of islands: British Virgin Islands, Barbuda, Dominica, Trinidad, and St Vincent and the Grenadines. It is very pleasing to see that we will now be sending books to some new countries.
In 2021 we will be working with the Rotary International in Karachi to organise shipments to Pakistan. We are also working with Rotary International in Ghana along with our local Banff Rotary to arrange other shipments.
Finally, we are in discussions with Diamond Trust Bank/Western Union on the projected third container of 2021 to Kenya.
