We have had a wide range of successful fund raising events this year. There have been pop up shops in Banff, Buckie, Portsoy and Huntly and of course we now have a second-hand bookshop at 47 High Street, Banff. We also had book stalls at places such as Tarland Plant Sale, Craigievar Hall, Huntly Hairst and Alford. Particularly noteworthy this year was the Chair Art at Tarland which raised £700 and the bookstall at Kincardine O’Neil pop up shop raised over £900. These events not only help to raise money towards the freight costs for our overseas projects but the events are also used by our volunteers to help promote Books Abroad. A big thank you to all concerned.
