We are delighted to announce that our chairperson Vinay Ruparelia has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours list. Vinay was awarded the MBE for services to local enterprise, tourism and to the community. As well as all his work for Books Abroad, Vinay is heavily involved in many other charities and local organisations such as Turning Point, Portsoy Boat Festival, Boyndie Trust and the Sail Loft Hostel.
