Last week, we had a truly heartwarming moment at Books Abroad – our youngest ever volunteer, Grayson, visited us with his mum to help pack boxes of books for Bunono School in Uganda, a school close to his heart.
A few years ago, Grayson took it upon himself to raise funds and successfully sent two pallets of books to the same school. Now, he’s back – full of energy, determination, and that unstoppable “Go-Go” spirit – helping once again to support children’s education overseas.
We’re incredibly proud to have this resilient young lad by our side. We know the students receiving the books he packed will feel the love and care that went into every box.
It’s amazing what young people can do when they get involved – and Grayson is a perfect example!
If you’ve got a young changemaker at home, or you’re looking for a meaningful way to spend time as a family, why not come along and volunteer with us? Together, we can turn the gift of books into opportunities for children around the world.
